GEOMORFOLOGIA E GEOTURISMO EM UNIDADES DE CONSERVAÇÃO NO ESTADO DO PIAUÍ: Estudos de caso na Serra da Capivara, Sete Cidades e Serra das Confusões

Abstract

O Geoturismo é uma das atividades turísticas que tem crescido muito nos últimos tempos no mundo e no Brasil e objetiva a contemplação e preservação de áreas ecológicas, visa a conservação e o desenvolvimento sustentável do local, assim como uma forma de garantir a preservação do Patrimônio Geológico, Natural, Cultural e Geomorfológico. No entanto, o geoturismo não se desenvolve apenas pela existência de atrativos, existe a necessidade de um Trade turístico, um conjunto de interesses públicos e privados. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo estabelecer relações entre a geomorfologia (formas de relevo) e o geoturismo, tendo por base as paisagens geomorfológicas encontradas nos Parques Nacionais da Serra da Capivara, de Sete Cidades e Serra das Confusões. Esses Parques possuem características semelhantes uma vez que estão inseridos dentro da bacia sedimentar do Parnaíba. E a estreita relação entre feições geomorfológicas identificadas nos referidos parques e o potencial dos mesmos como atrativo geoturístico justificam a pesquisa. Na metodologia, buscou-se a pesquisa bibliográfica em autores que discutem a temática, com base em livros, artigos científicos e sites. Foi possível identificar que os Parques Nacionais do Estado do Piauí no qual foram estudados nesta pesquisa, representam uma importante área de estudo, por apresentar uma geodiversidade espetacular considerando o patrimônio geológico e geomorfológico. As feições geomorfológicas se apresentam em destaque na natureza, revelando grande valor e potencial para a atividade geoturística, favorecendo a geração de renda à população local. Recomenda-se a fiscalização, a estruturação, o incentivo e a divulgação desses parques e de seu patrimônio geomorfológico pelo Governo nas distintas esferas.

Geotourism is one of the tourist activities that has grown a lot in recent times in the world and in Brazil and aims at contemplation and preservation of ecological areas, aims at the conservation and sustainable development of the site, as well as a way to ensure the preservation of geological, natural, cultural and geomorphological heritage. However, geotourism is not only developed by the existence of attractions, there is the need for a tourist trade, a set of public and private interests. The present work aims to establish relationships between geomorphology (relief forms) and geotourism, based on the geomorphological landscapes found in the National Parks of Serra da Capivara, Sete Cidades and Serra das Confusões. These parks have similar characteristics since they are inserted within the parnaíba sedimentary basin. And the close relationship between geomorphological features identified in these parks and their potential as a geotourist attraction justify the research. In the methodology, we sought bibliographic research in authors who discuss the theme, based on books, scientific articles and websites. It was possible to identify that the National Parks of the State of Piauí in which they were studied in this research represent an important area of study, because they present a spectacular geodiversity considering the geological and geomorphological heritage. The geomorphological features are prominent in nature, revealing great value and potential for geotourism activity, favoring the generation of income to the local population. It is recommended the supervision, structuring, incentive and dissemination of these parks and their geomorphological heritage by the Government in the different spheres.
